Savannah anchors the Georgia coast and one of the fastest-growing regions in the state. The Port of Savannah is the busiest single-terminal container port in the country, and the warehousing and distribution buildings that serve it stretch west through Pooler, Port Wentworth and Bryan County, where the Hyundai Metaplant has set off a wave of hotel, apartment and school construction.
